A stroll through the Withies produced undoubtably the days highlight with the seasons third Pallas's Warbler. The siberian vagrant showed extremely well flitting in the first warm rays of sunlight hitting the willows, frequently uttering its squeaky, springy "chu-it" call. Accompanying it were two Siberian Chiffchaffs, a ringed bird and an unringed bird, presumably the same two individuals seen the previous week, a Chiffchaff and five of the six Goldcrests recorded today

A pair of male Sparrowhawks were part of a dramatic tussle above Nant, circling together before diving at each other, talons outstretched. Woodcocks were again flushed from cover in a couple of areas, the Observatory garden and the Plantation, a Little Owl called on the side of the mountain, a juvenile Grey Heron habited the Lowlands along with 12 Meadow Pipits. Overhead 270 Starling passed heading south, a gathering of 39 Herring Gulls and 200 Kittiwakes fed off the West Coast and small numbers of the common resident birds were logged.
