Although clear at dawn, a cloud of dense fog enveloped the island for most of the day, clearing only as night fell. A few new migrants made landfall though including the first Willow Warbler of the autumn heard calling at Cristin. The Cuckoo was still around, as was the Sand Martin, whilst at sea one Sandwich Tern and nine Black-headed Gulls flew by. Regarding waders, a Golden Plover was new in whilst five Dunlins, three Common Sandpipers, and 23 Turnstones were on the Narrows at high tide.
