A dry and productive morning soon gave way to fierce gusts mixed with rain showers. The first real signs of autumn approach with three Sand Martins heading south along the South End, two Grey Wagtails south overhead, a build-up of 19 Curlews on Carreg Yr Honwy, and a Common Sandpiper on Solfach. In addition 60 Gannets plunged offshore, two Grey Herons fed in the rock-pools on the Narrows, and a Lesser Redpoll was on the South End.
