The first Merlin for a few weeks zipped over The Narrows which also held three Ringed Plovers, one Bar-tailed Godwit, 32 Whimbrels, nine Turnstones, and two Sandwich Terns. Overhead passage of two Swifts, 66 Swallows, one House Martin, 71 Goldfinches, and one Lesser Redpoll was recorded whilst one White Wagtail, 27 Wheatears, two Grasshopper Warblers, six Blackcaps, six Chiffchaffs, 18 Willow Warblers, and three Goldcrests were seen inland.
