Another windy and cold morning though parting into a lovely calm afternoon of sun. Highlights of the day include the first Swift of the year heading over the Withies and the Little Egret remaining on The Narrows. The year’s first two Sanderlings were seen on Solfach with four Ringed Plovers, two Dunlins, 21 Whimbrels, one Curlew, one Redshank, and 12 Turnstones nearby.

A solitary Sandwich Tern was the best sighting at sea where 13 Fulmars, 19 Gannets, and three Common Scoters were also recorded. Counts from the rest of the island include three Swallows, two White Wagtails, 29 Wheatears, six Blackcaps, five Chiffchaffs, 14 Willow Warblers, two Goldcrests, and eight Goldfinches.
